If You're not going to be building a New Rig really soon, Now that You have the Power you could wring a lot more power out of the old one by upgrading to a 100W CPU provided You have a good CPU Cooler. I'm "guessing" that a Refurbished CPU isn't really refurbished ? it's just a tested return ?

I looked up the CPUs the MOBO supports http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-ASUS/F1A55-M_LE.html then priced the A8-3850 and Athlon 651(K) "Needs latest BIOS" on Newegg https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...ED&PageSize=36
Substantial performance increase going by Passmark scores.

At this time I recommend not doing anything more.
Use your system with the new power supply for a while and see if their are any more problems.

Did you do a basic cleanup of your computer? The computer gods like things clean and neat.
