Bought windows 7 from ebay and not sure if it's genuine

It seems I'm going through the exact same issue as this user the windows 7 is still in transit the guy says he's from Maryland but it's being shipped from China.

My Windows 7 copy looks fake. Typo on back cover. Came from China. - Page 2 - Windows 7 Help Forums

The person is saying he's selling a new retail window 7 ultimates still sealed from what I can tell from this other user it seems the activation works so I'm guessing the product key is legitimate.

Also this seller is smart to avoid the obvious tells of a counterfeit copy from where it's printed to be made from and hologram on the cd.

So I'm sure this is a high grade counterfeit copy but it seems the product key will be legitimate so if that's the case does it matter if the rest is counterfeit or should I just seek a refund. Thanks.

I would wait until you've got it in your hands before making any assumptions about it, it could be genuine or it could be a counterfeit, you won't know until it arrives.

I've also heard that pigs can fly, I've never seen a flying pig and you probably haven't either but until you do see one flying you won't know if that's true or false until then.

You odds of getting a legal Windows 7 with a matching legal COA key from Ebay are slim to none.
The odds of getting new retail window 7 ultimates are even worse.

    What was the price?

No way in hell is that legal. It should cost hundreds if it was legal.

The last time I bought Windows 7 Pro it cost $140.00 and it was OEM Builders. Not Retail version which cost more.

    Edit:
I just called my supplier and to the best he can remember Ultimate Retail sold for about $300.00.

I payed US $73.99 for my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 copy on eBay.. it was legit but the activation(s) were used up
so the seller worked with me to get me another product-key(this one was OEM I think), but after I did the painful phone activation it been working fine sine install June 2016...

though as far as my advice goes, I would NOT trust anything coming from China.. :/
always try to buy closest to you if possible...

So you had it for a year so I'm assuming there's nothing to worry about then?

idk... your experience is bound to be different from mine... The copy of Windows 7 I bought was shipped from California to New Hampshire... so idk.. I was just sharing my thoughts..

    EDIT:
and you could have provided a link to the eBay auction in question for us to look at I guess... :/

I also bought one from Brooklyn same weird shipping thing came up saying it was coming from California.

The guy said he's also selling a new retail windows 7 ultimate also asking for 65 dollars. I'm guessing both are getting their products from the same supplier and both are selling a big inventory of them.
