No... You will need to do a clean install...

Win7 64bit Ultimate

As in yes you can install 64bit windows on your laptop however you cannot upgrade to 64bit directly from 32bit. You will have to install the 64bit version of windows as if this was the first time any OS was ever installed. Just to clarify that a bit further.

It will also tell you if your computer can run Win7 64bit.

Windows 7 Ultimate x32

if you have more then 3.2 Gb of ram you should be running 64bit and you will have to clean install windows 7
