Fast Boot/Desktop Load, Then Super Bogged Down

Writing from my 2008 Macbook (yes, it's that bad) so PLEASE HALP

The Problem:

Computer starts up and loads to the desktop super quick, but then things go south pretty fast a few seconds later.

Some Scenarios:

- Start up computer, log in, desktop appears with fully functional start menu in less than 20 seconds.Then I launch a web browser**, and it loads almost instantly. Go to type in something in the search bar, program freezes, and the computer starts acting like it's from 2003 from then on.

**I've deleted and reinstalled firefox and chrome to see if they were corrupted, but I've been using IE (GASP) because it's the only one that works enough to load and search Google.

- Start up computer, log in, desktop appears with fully functional start menu in less than 20 seconds.Then I launch my Blizzard Client. Takes 5 minutes to load the window, then a few more to load online content. Then back to 2003.

After the initial event, it'll take a good 30 seconds to a minute to even load a program, and the same time to access the Task Manager.

Some Solution Attemps:

- Ran comprehensive Immunet viral scan. No virus.
- Ran malwarebytes scan. No malware.
- Ran adware/trojan scan. Nothing there either.
- I'm running on a clean boot, all essential processes only, by way of msconfig and Selective Startup. That helped the boot times improve instantly, but did nothing for the lag problem after the initial desktop load.
- Took my computer case apart and blew it out with my air compressor. That sucker is clean as a whistle

That is where I've stopped. Work and school picked up, so I haven't been able to get back to it for a couple weeks. Hoping that y'all in the community might be of some help. I'll provide any information I can.

If "SFC /SCANNOW" doesn't fix the problem, try the "System Recovery Options"
explained in the following tutorial. It sounds a little like windows may not be
starting correctly.

Ran sfc /scannow and it told me that there are corrupt files, but they were unable to be fixed. Ran the command twice just to be sure. Image attached. -----> http://imgur.com/a/9cUCs

Found the CBS log, and it's as long as the great wall of China, but I can send it if y'all want to take a look.

Am I looking at a system restore as CharlesKnell suggested?

I recommend "Startup Repair" first,

Then, rerun sfc /scannow
and please post the CBS.log file as an attachment.

Alrighty, just fresh back from a camping trip ready to take another crack.

Ran startup repair, and "nothing needed to be repaired."

I also ran a memory check just for fun. It didn't go through, because my desktop loaded to some interesting errors.

I tried uploading pictures through the forum, but the upload link keeps giving me a dead page. Links at the end of this reply are of the error messages.

Computer is going through system restore now. The earliest restore point is the 7th of march, so we will see what happens.

System restore didn't work. The only other restore points were from six days ago when I started uninstalling applications that seemed to slow the computer down.

Back to square one. Any other things to try before I reformat and reinstall? I have the disks.

might be a bad hard drive. If you happen to have a spare hard drive, macrium clone your current boot drive onto it, then disconnect your current boot drive from your motherboard and boot from the newly cloned disk.

"sfc /scannow" is worth another try

Sorry for the laggy response, been out on the road again.

I don't have a spare HD to test, but at this point I'm thinking of just wiping the HD and reinstalling since I have the disks.
