XP Mode Crashed with AVG or Avast installed, works fine without

I am unable to use XP Mode with either AVG or Avast installed.

It was working fine for years with AVG installed, then all of a sudden whenever XP Mode was used, I'd get a blue screen and the machine would reboot. I uninstalled AVG, XP Mode and Virtual Machine. Reinstalled XP Mode and Virtual Machine and it works fine. As soon as I reinstalled AVG it did it again.

I've tried the same with Avast and the same thing happens.

Has anyone seen this before? I have a few other users with no issues at all.

I have an old Laptop with Win XP that gave me problems with Avira. New antivirus aren't compatible with Win XP.
Did you try to disable (not uninstall) the antivirus?

I read that you're using Windows 7, with Virtual Machine - XP Mode.
Did you try to disable (not uninstall) the antivirus before launching the XP mode?

    Yes I did, didn't work.

I have around 8 machines that this setup works fine on, this is the only one it doesn't
