I am not the best to advise you on malwarebytes because although I was a long term user I had nothing but problems with MalwareBytes Version 3, and have stopped using it completely and gone to Bitdefender Total Security for all my security needs, I still have about five months left on my licence for Malwarebytes. Other users have had none of the issues I had, but not sure if Trend has issues with Malwarebytes 3 - MB3 is a lot more diverse in it's protection at least it's claims, so is likely to have changed a lot from when you started using it with Trend. If you wish you can use either, whichever you prefer, but it's obvious that there is an issue with running both. One option you could explore is to switch off the "live" functions, If possible, of one of the products and only use it for occasional manual scans. This is the way that a lot of users have always done who use the free version of malwarebytes (version 2 especially)

    taking ownership?

Yeah, I thought about using Mal-Ware Bytes most of the time. Then get offline, uninstall Mal-Ware Bytes, install Trend, run scans, then un-install Trend, then re-install Mal-Ware Bytes...,.but, man that's that a lot of hum-bug-I'll look into Bitdefender Total Security. Thanks!

What I was suggesting was to disable the parts of either malwarebytes or trend Micro that runs in the background and say, once a week or so manually performing a scan of the system using the one that is partly disabled eg malwarebytes free only allows manual operation but adds to the other full time anti-malware

Ah, yes, I see. Can you address the issue of if 'TrustedInstall' in task manager\services(Windows Modules Installer) should be 'stopped', or 'running'?

    taking ownership?

Thanks everyone for all your help. I've finally(after 5 weeks) got things working normally.

Yeah, it seems that Trend and Mal-Ware Bytes don't play nice together.

I'm keeping Mal-Ware Bytes running as my main anti-virus program, disabling it and running Trend once a week. Then I probably won't be renewing Trend this year.

I just hope that all the stuff I did during the past 5 weeks didn't screw things up...all the programs that I use daily are working fine...after about a month or so, I'll have used 90% of programs. If everything is still working, I should be good. Again, thanks everyone for your help!!!
