"Recently Used" Section on Right Click is Gone for some Apps

Normally when you right click an app on the task bar, you can see a section of "recently used" stuff (like folders or documents) on the popup menu.
A while back ago this feature was gone on my computer from the explorer, which was annoying, but now it's also gone from the main program I do my work on so I decided to search for a solution online.
However, this feature still works on other apps like Chrome, for example.

Can someone help me bring back this recently used feature that suddenly won't appear at all?
I've tried turning it off and on via the task bar menu but it didn't help at all.

    Thanks

Hi ThoriumEx, welcome to the Forum.

Check that you have the following ticked. Right click on the Task Bar, select Properties, when that opens select the Start Menu tab, then tick the box next to "Store & display recently opened items in the Start menu & the Task Bar."

Then click on the Customise button & then check at the bottom that you have at least 10 items selected in both of the Start Menu size. You can change the number here to your choice. I think 10 is the default setting & the maximum is 30 items.

    Thank you for the reply.
I've already tried that, but unfortunately it doesn't work.
Turning this feature on/off and changing the number of items does affect things like Chrome and the Start Menu, but it doesn't affect the bugged apps like the Explorer and my audio program.

This MS website might help you, but it does involve making some changes to the Registry. It is a good idea to back up the Registry beforehand.
