Login dialog box keeps on popping up in Safe Mode

    Hi everyone!
I'm using Windows XP Home Edition and pretty sure I haven't setup any new accounts. It's now asking me for a Username and Pword. I tried doing it via Safe Mode (based on the suggestions from other threads) but once I enter 'Administrator' and leave the password blank, it just says 'Loading your personal settings' then 'Saving your settings' and goes back to the same login screen again.
I've also tried doing the Safe Mode with CMD prompt but it just redirects me to the same login screen instead of the cmd screen.
    Please, please help.
    Thank you in advance.

Go to control panel - Users accounts and delete all other accounts leaving on only yours.

Thanks for the reply, Megahertz. Unfortunately, I'm unable to go to the Control Panel since I'm unable to go past the username-password screen.

Is there only one account (yours) on the computer?

Did the account use to have a password or was it blank?
