    Some Questions

    Hello,

I have installed windows 7 Ultimate (Fresh install), However when I go to C:/ I can see windows.old which contains all the files from Windows Vista, can i delete this Folder ? Because I don't want them.

    and there's some files like " 1e495cf54dfbf672077e67d98c7fd0 " in the C:/ directory can i delete them ?

There's some Videos & Pictures Folders from windows.old can i move them to my current windows 7 ? or it'll be dangerous ?

    2. I don't have any drivers error at all, everything seems ok what should I do? keep them as it ? or go to toshiba and download the drivers again ?

    3. Does the gadgets slow my laptop ?

    4. I really like windows 7 much better than Vista :)

Thank you so much, and hopefully i can get the answers!

    1. If you do not want any of those files (in Windows.old) then yep, you can delete it to regain space.
the 1e495cf54dfbf672077e67d98c7fd0 type folders are usually left over from windows updates. As long as everything is working smoothly you can probably safely remove them also (however, I believe they contain information that can be restored to your system IF you choose to un-install that particular update.

you should be able to "move" your pictures without problem.

If your drivers are all working correctly..I would not mess with it. If it ain't broke..don't fix it. that is my OPINION

Yep, the gadgets do take up some resources. If you have lots of memory and a decent processor, then don't worry about it. As long as you do not go "gadget crazy" and have only a few running you will probably not notice much of a difference.

    Welcome to Seven Forums..

    1. Use disc cleanup to remove the windows.old folder after you have saved anything you wish to save.

    2. If it aint broke, dont fix it, but its always a good idea to hang on to your drivers.. it doesnt cost anything..

    3. No... as a rule, gadgets will not slow down your computer...

You do not have to remove the gadgets....just do not go "overboard" with them. 2 or 3 gadgets should run fine, in fact you will probably not notice any difference.

..and welcome to the forums !! (I was remiss in not giving you a big welcome earlier..please forgive my indiscretion)
