Any way to have a desktop shortcut to keyboard Character Map please?

I'm just discovering the joys of playing with various symbols using the numbers lock and keyboard and have previously downloaded some really useful desktop shortcuts from the Tutorial section here.

So, I wondered if there was one for the Character Map as I couldn't find a specific one there myself .... maybe it is there but it failed to let me see it :)

All help and advice most gratefully received.

    Alt + Left Mouse Button

    Try this:

    1. Open your Start Menu
    2. Type Character Map in the Search box.
    3. Grab the Character Map icon from the results list (use the Left Mouse Button)
    4. Drag to icon over your desktop (keep holding the Left Mouse Button down)
    5. Hold the Alt key and then release the Left Mouse Button

This should create a shortcut on your desktop.

You can also drag the Character Map icon using the Right Mouse Button.
When you release it you should get a pop-up menu with options.

    +1 to lehnerus2000.

I find Character Map very useful, so I moved it to my Taskbar: one click and it's open.
