    Missing Bootmgr-Asus laptop.Windows couldn't find the OS!!

    Hello Guys,

I am not a software person, couldn't able to boot up and shown the above error message in my Asus g74sx running windows 7 ultimate, i used the system repair disc to boot ,when i used the advance recovery option,i couldn't find the windows operating system there!

(i have two drives in my computer ,operating system drive is
NOT BITLOCKED,another drive have bitlocker enabled(i know the password but don't know the key)before i start the start up repair it asked to enter the bitlocker key,i skipped it(hope this is not the reason its not showing the operating system)

start up repair couldn't fix it,so went to command prompt and followed these steps

    bootrec /fixboot
    bootrec /fixmbr
    bootrec /RebuildBCD

it said fixed successfully but when i restarted..the lovely guy came back "Missing Bootmgr"

Pls advise and suggest me to solve, much thanks in advance.

Ok mate well I do look at the older posts as sometimes stuff can go for a long time indeed.

Now if you don't mind me asking just why are you running Ultimate because it is really meant for some heavy duty business use and did the machine come with it on if not did you put the Ultimate on yourself?? I am not being rude but sometimes we find folks using Ultimate because they think it is the very best version for some reason when Home Premium is suffice for general use even Pro is really overkill if that is the case.

The other thing I would like to know is what AV have you got on that machine? Plus I am assuming you cannot even get into safe mode??
I don't know if this might be of soem help too How to Repair Windows Bootloader Problems (If Your Computer Wont Start)

Edit: I meant to ask do you have the installation media(DVD)
