    Desktop turns off randomly

My Toshiba turns off on it's own randomly. I removed the battery, ran on ac power.
No difference. Now running in safe mode and no shut down.
My thought is a program running is doing this. (One out side of the safe mode prgrams)How would I figure out
    Which program is it.

    Desk top turns off randomly

Any error messages? Check your ram with memtest. Check your BIOS for errors.

Is it a Desktop or laptop?

If it's an old laptop, the heat sink must be clogged with dust.
Use open hardware monitor - Open Hardware Monitor - Core temp, fan speed and voltages in a free software gadget
Download , extract to a folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\HardwareMonitor) , run the exe file.
Under options tab set it run on start up.
If the CPU or GPU temp goes higher than 80ºC you will have to open and clean the heat sink.

If it really is a desktop (which I think you wrote by mistake, I have seen BIOS batteries cause this problem. Changed the CD2032 BIOS battery and all was good.
