why do many users and site advise /RestoreHealth ?

I think it's the right place to ask it
because many users in this forum ,advise to run cmd as administrator,and they are really great users ,they(you) do everything to help everyone

The /RestoreHealth option is only available since Windows 8. For Windows 7, Microsoft backported the /ScanHealth option which does the same like RestoreHealth with the update KB2966583.

may i know the truth ? because i have performaded a clean install w7 with all the updates and it doesn't know the command /RestoreHealth
and even in the microsoft support they do advise to run it

The command is very used on Win 10 and Win 11.

If you have Win 10 dism and you point to a win7 Install.wim source and index it may work.

but if you search how fix w7 , in the microsoft forum or support ,when someone does write about error 87 , the answer is
scannow , backup and so on
