My computer is running really slow

    Hello,

I run Windows 7 on my HP laptop. My computer used to run rather fast, but now it runs really slow. A blue light comes on indicating that something is going on in the background. I just ran SFC /scannow in the command prompt as Admnistrator, but it found no errors. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why my laptop is running so slow?

    Thank you

Please open Task Manager and open the Processes tab, check off "Show processes from all users" and take some screen shots and post them here in this thread. Make sure to get all of the processes by scrolling down and click on "Image Name" to get them to be alphabetical. That way they won't move around with CPU load as you take the screen shots.

Here's how to upload screen shots:

Mellon Head, I am kind of a newbie. Where do I find the Task Manager tab?

    Thank you

Right click on the Task Bar & from the menu select Task Manager.
