LogonUI.exe - Ordinal Not Found [error]

    hey everyone from this forum,
i've been getting this error message today,
after the boot screen (Starting Windows), and going to the logon screen this error messages shows.

    i've done:

    • replacing logonui.exe and comctl32.dll from an another computer that runs the same operating system to mine
    • doing startup repair
    • the "sfc /scannow" CMD command

and it still shows after the booting screen.
i can't get to the desktop or the logon screen at all.

    any help?

Have you run Start up Repair 3 times. Sometimes this is needed.

    Hi

Taking this in conjunction with your other thread re Program files.

Id have to say there's something wrong with your install media.
(or its the after effects of malware?)
Im quite happy to provide a clean Iso link, after reviewing the following
please run this tool, copy paste the output

how am i supposed to run this program if i can't login at all? by using a windows PE?

and, about my previous thread, the problem was from the program's registry.

    Hi

this tutorial shows you how to log in as administrator
Safe Mode - Windows 7 Help Forums

If that fails then you could either use the HP Factory restore option or perform a clean install.

i can't even go to safe mode, it shows the same error.

i'm not using an HP. and, i don't want to do a clean install.
