Where are the Group Policy Editor icons located?

Hello,

Does anyone know where the Group Policy Editor icons are located?

They aren't in the usual imagres.dll/shell32.dll files.

Cheers.

Hello Avengement,

The icon is located in the "C:Windows\System32\gpedit.dll" file.

Thanks for the reply.

I've also already checked that file and they aren't there either.

None of the icons seen when Group Policy Editor is open are located in this file.

I'm trying to find the icons indicated in the below image:

Any ideas?

Ah, ok. I thought you were hunting for the app icon instead.

I'm not sure where those will be either.

Damn.

Still looking if anyone else has any ideas.

I would really hate to have to start manually checking through a thousand dll files....

Editing the gpedit.msc file with something like Resource Hacker may help reveal them.

I was under the impression that hex editors could not open msc files but rather only exe and dll's?

Sorry, that should have been the .dll instead.

Group Policy Editor or Local Security Policy
Will either of these allow me to restrict drive access to a single user only? I've tried to restrict drive access with Group Policy Editor but it applies the restriction globally--even to me the administrator. Could anyone let me know if this is possible and how to do it? Much thanks.
