Start Menu Ghost files appearing when I search something.

So, this has been happening to me for a while and I don't know how to fix it.
I've tried so many things, but it doesn't work
I think that this forum is the right place to find the answer.

When I click on start menu and when I search something,
the ghost files appear called Documents, Music, Video, Files etc. depends on what I search
Also, there's no like "custom search" so, I can't go to cmd or dxdiag etc. because when I search any of those, it says: "No items match your search"

This is how the ghost files look like:

I hope you can help me. Thanks :)

First thing that comes to my mind is the question why would the files' icons appear with this blank page icon?
They appear as if broken.
1) If you click them, do they open you a new window with their content?

If they don't, this will rather make me believe you should check your system for errors via sfc function.
2) Have you been experiencing anything more strange than the things described earlier?
3) Is this fresh installation of Windows?
4) Do you have anti-virus?

You could try checking your search settings via Folder Options, should you wish to tackle around dxdiag search. See if you can adjust anything to the preferred behaviour of search and see if it helps you. However, I would check the system for errors and/or viruses just to be on safe side.

Note: First few mseconds it is fine to see something like what you showed us on screen, but system is expected to eventually link unique icons to these items and change these blank icons to their default ones, unless they were user customised already.
Note: I might be missing out something, as I've started to forget some things about Windows 7.

I would also check startbar's properties and settings + performance settings, e.g. aero effect on/off - if I remember it right there were some extra settings worth taking a look at.

Oh and I've recalled something more.
I think if the main item removed, but its link remains somewhere in the system, then these ghost items will occur.
This becomes rather about getting rid of these left out links (for comfort that is). However, before doing so, one should double-check them.

Hope it helps.

Lets do the basic.
- Open Explorer, right click on the C: drive, Properties - Tools tab - Error check - Check now. It will say that your disk is in use and if you want to check disk on next boot = Yes
Pay attention on the results

- If no bad blocks or bad clusters were found on disk check, open a CMD window and type:
sfc /scannow
