Files not updating in circumstances after update

Bump, I haven't recieved a reply in 3 days

It doesn't help, but I'm having same problem on my wife's computer.

My wife's computer wasn't updating because M$ servers were down.
Did yours did the updates?

Yes, it does update for me. I only have them set to install manually, but to have it notify me when they're available.

M$ is delivering the Roll up updates with some spy features and other undesired things (even updates that prevent WU to work properly).
My Suggestion:
- Under services, set WU to manual
- On WU page set it to never check
- Install only the security updates. They are monthly released. MS releases SP2 for Windows 7 - Windows 7 Help Forums
- For Office and other M$ programs, run WU manually and choose those you want to install.
