Ok, I found the disk, but when I did what you suggested, it said that it can't because of a system repair.

    If I may folks.

    From post #1
    Super Mario World hacks

How did these hacks get in your system?
Did you install them or did they sneak in?

If these hacks sneaked in, they are probably causing some of your problems.
Here is a program I use when need be. Sometimes if finds things other programs don't.
Eset scanner will take some time so just wait until it finishes.

Um, by Super Mario World hacks, I mean ROM hacks.
And I did try to force the repair, but I'm still getting the same result.

    Hi Nambona890,

Couple of more things to try

from Safe mode >> Command prompt run these(copy/paste them in)

    DISM /image:C:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions

    then
    sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=c:\ /OFFWINDIR=c:\windows

NOTE C should be the drive letter that the system is running from.

I tried both commands in both Safe Mode with Command Prompt and Repair Your Computer, but DISM gave me "The /Image option that is specified points to a running Windows installation.", and sfc gave me "The arguments passed to sfc are invalid. The offline windows directory specified points to the online system."

It runs on the C drive, and I am not dual booting.
I have 2 drives: an SSD which runs my OS, and a hybrid drive. Both of them have the issue stated in my initial post.
