Sandboxie compatibility with new monthly updates

    1-04-2018
    Stats: Windows 7 pro 64-bit
    Sandboxie
The Lords at Microsoft will have to figure out some other way
    to screw up my computer.
Tonight I installed the monthly Window 7 update. Then sandboxie stopped
working. Said there is a compatibility issue.
So I reinstalled a previous backup and I will NEVER do another windows
update. Microsoft cannot be trusted. I don't like companies that cram
there way of using MY COMPUTER. It is my computer and I will use it as I
SEE FIT. After all I pay for the computer, internet service, Windows 7
    etc.etc.ect.
Maybe somone knows a way around this problem.

Same here. Uninstalling all updates and switching off automatic updates.

My suggestion is to turn WU to manual under Services (%windir%\system32\services.msc) and on the WU page set to never check.
    - For Windows install the offline security only updates (not the Quality Rollup) MS releases SP2 for Windows 7 - Windows 7 Help Forums

    - Run WU manually to see the available office updates.

Sandboxie has an update they have released to address this issue. Check their site here:

My guess is that this is all tied into the "Meltdown/Spectre" issue
Sandboxie had to change thier system code as well.

Thanks for all the responses. But like all software changes a good method is to wait and see.
Before I would upgrade to a beta product I would first back up windows.
This process saved me from the last windows monthly mess.
Sandboxie is working for me now without Microsoft updates.
Hope something good comes out of all of this.
