"system call failed" message

    "system call failed" message


    this message is displayed after I click on a display icon (double click). Single click icons at bottom of display seem to be working ok. Running windows 7 on HP Pavilion.

    A restart usually fixes the problem or you can try this fix instead. Open task manager and kill the explorer.exe process this will cause your desktop to go blank. Then do a CTRL-ALT-DEL and run Task Manager again and do a new task and select the explorer.exe process.
