Still having problems with "Not Responding" issues for all programs, and jpg, png, gif files do not open in Photo Viewer, Photoshop or Paint.
Yes, as stated in the previous, and the original message, the original problem is still present. That is, I still cannot open any image files with any program.

You've already lost a lot of time trying to fix this issue.
My suggestion is to do a Repair install. It will reinstall windows and keep your data and programs.

Thanks Megahertz, but as stated earlier - already done. At least twice. It reports "problems were found, but not all were fixed."

I still can't open any image with Windows Photo Viewer, Photoshop or Paint.

    Roy,

Here's the Log. I had to run KB a second time because no log file was created when it completed successfully the first time:

    Checking Windows Servicing Packages

    Checking Package Manifests and Catalogs

    Checking Package Watchlist

    Checking Component Watchlist

    Checking Packages

    Checking Component Store

    Summary:
    Seconds executed: 594
    No errors detected

Several updates were installed during the process...

    Hi Tom,

    Stranger and stranger.

    I mentioned earlier about Regclean.
Do you have any Tune-up type programs installed, which??

can you run this tool Farbar, FRST, post the 2 logs.

You said that you were having constant "not responding", freezing, & crashes of Windows Photo Viewer.
Run a memory test. Run Diagnostics to Check Your System for Memory Problems
Open CMD window and type mdsched.exe. Restart.

They were uninstalled quite some time ago as part of the diagnostic process.

I ran "scan" with the default setup. Log files are attached.

I ran this quite a while ago with no issues, and I tried it again per your suggestion. "No memory issues were detected."

    Hi Tom,

well that made for intreresting reading.
most especially you appear to be running a non-genuine OS, theres an activation exploit showing.
The W7 Iso was downloaded from a russian torrent site, if this included the exploit then i suggest you get hold of another copy, ands if the exploit was included what else was!!!!.

As this forum does not support piracy, Rule 4- no further help can br provided until a genuine product is in use .
