Boot error after software license activation

    Hi,

I'm having the oddest issue and if this the wrong section please move the post to the right forum.

I have been using a software plugin (PSD-Manager for Vray) for my rendering software that requires a LIC file to be activated through a software called IP-CLAMP for the last 5 years.
I recently retired my old PC (also running Win7) and setup on another PC (also running Win7 for about 2 years with no issues), I requested a new LIC file to activate my license on the new PC and whenever I activate the LIC file through IP-CLAMP I can't get back into windows with the error message "Reboot and Select proper boot device" on the next re-boot.

I run my recovery DVD and restore windows to a date before activating the license and everything works again. I tried it twice and did nothing else but activate the license and I get the same boot issue. I tried contacting the company (CEBAS) to resolve the issue but they only responded that the software does not interfere with the booting at all.

I'm just really hoping that someone here might be able to put me on the right track of solving this issue since I really need to continue using the plugin. Please let me know if you need any more detail or clarification.

    Thank you

    Welcome to the Forum.

It seems that the LIC file is modifying a boot file.
Did you try to install the same software and same activation file that was working on the old computer?
You should call IP-CLAMP support and describe the issue.
