Can no longer create new folders

I just noticed today that I can no longer create new folders.

I don't know how long this has been going on.

From the right, it is no longer an option on the desktop or in any folder in explorer.

Withing explorer, I can click on New Folder, but it doesn't do anything.

Any thoughts???

I am running Windows Home Premium 64 bit on an Acer Aspire with 8 GB ram and an AMD A8-4500 APU

Hello DP, :)

You might see if using the restore option in step 5 of the tutorial below may be able to repair this for you.

Reimage Repair was quarantined by Malwarebytes, and I can't run it.

Can you do an update on Malwarebytes? It was having some serious issues the other day, and they issued an update which fixed it.

Do you mean the .reg file from the downloaded .zip in step 5?

There should be no reason for it to get quarantined. You should be able to allow it if wanted.

Grrr disregard that, I clicked the wrong link (after your post) .

Yes downloading "Folder_New_Context_Ment_Item" worked.

Thanks for the help.

Do you have an easy way to fix my printer options?

I click on Devices and Printers, and get the never ending green status bar

I'm glad to hear your New Folder is fixed now.

It would be best to create a new thread for the separate printer issue to see what we can do to help.

Ok, strange scenario but I think it is network related so I'll try here. I am dual booting 7 and XP with 7 now being my primary OS. Recently, I built a friend a new computer and had it hooked up to my router here at home. Via 7, I shared 2 folders from my computer on the network so I could...
