Having a choice of users at startup

Before I reinstalled Windows 7, my 2 users appeared at startup. I just had to click on one to bring up that desktop. Now, my desktop appears, with no choice available. When I click on Start, I can choose the other user. How can I have a choice at startup?

    Strange behavior.
Are you sure you have more than one user? Open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts\Manage Accounts
Do you see the users (you, the other and Guest)?

Hello speedo232, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Are all accounts on the computer password protected?

If not, then sometimes Windows may log on automatically to the last account if not password protected.

No. Not password protected. Never had to do that before.

Type netplwiz.exe into the run box. Check the box users must enter in a username and password to use this computer. This should disable auto login.

Is there a way to have the 2 choices without needing a password? I used to have this option before I reinstalled Windows 7.

I think that's mislabeled. It really is the autologin option. There is another location that sets the password requirement option but it isn't that. Personally I believe that everyone should have a password, especially administrator accounts.

In Control Panel is the Guest account marked as on or off?

Thank you. Problem solved with netplwiz.exe. No password required.
