new message on start up "refers to a location that is not available"

last week new message on start up
seen before updates and new monitor...
now, seeing it more often on start up... and having different desktop configurations on start up

Win 7...

trying to attach the screen image...

Here is a tutorial that shows how to find the process that issued the message.
Maybe knowing the process will help find out why it's being displayed and then fix it.

If that doesn't help you could try using MS Sysinternals Autoruns to search for systemprofile\desktop

thank you, different start up problem this am

the first, is over my head I think....

the second, says "start auto runs"
I entered autoruns in the box at "start" and found I had a similar article

autoruns is not part of the original Windows software?
something I need to download?

Correct, Autoruns is not built into Windows.
It is a MS Sysinternals utility that needs to be downloaded.
It is a portable program, not installed.
I always have the complete Sysinternals Suite of all the utilities (all portable programs).

They have a great set of helpful utilities - lots of learning.
