    the "read-only" problem

I have a directory from work that I'm trying to disable "read-only" on. Currently the folder has the blue box. If i click that to clear it out, I will see a list of files I assume it's re-writing (this takes about 90 seconds), then I hit ok.

When I check the properties again, I see that the box is filled again. I'm able to repeat this process infinitely but I still don't think it's set to "writable". How can I disable this?

Cancel that. I was trying to associate a file with a directory that's set to "read-only". Turns out my file was "read-only" as well. Just needed to change the properties of the file, not the directory.

    Boom. easy.
