    can't delete, can't rename

I've tried all the suggested programs (including FileAssassin and Unlocker), I've tried doing it by the command prompt...the computer insists the file doesn't exist and nothing I do gets rid of it. I'm extremely frustrated. It says I can't open the folder myself because I don't have administrator privileges even though I do. I just want to get rid of igfxmtc.exe

None of the antivirus programs delete it, even though some seem to think they do.

Hi mspenguin, welcome to the Forum.

It seems that this is a malware virus & is hard to remove. This website might be worth looking at to read through what this virus actually can do & does on your computer.

I cannot vouch for the free software they advertise as I have not used it, but it seems that it does a scan & then reports on what it finds. The question then arises as to whether removal is also free. You may have to be prepared to pay for a program to remove it.

If you wish to what other programs are available to remove this, type in your browser search what is igfxmtc.exe

    Have you tried Malwarebytes free?
What anti virus software is installed on your Dell and is it up to date?

I have just tried the link and my Malwarebytes Premium blocked the site with a malware warning!

It flags for me too, so I've edited it out.
