Win explorer navigation pane changing itself

Things seem to be disappearing from my WinExplorer navigation pane without any help from me. "Desktop" disappeared, as did my "downloads" folder. My name no longer shows up under I think it was "Libraries?" maybe. And if I expand "favorites" nothing comes up. The only way I can find my downloads folder is because I have a shortcut for it on my desktop. Seems like every few days something just goes away. What's with that? I can't see any way to fix it either. Machine is an Alienware X51 with Win 7.

Favorites and Libraries items are shortcuts that you may add or remove on Explorer. Right click (on Favorites or on Libraries) and you will see the options to create or delete.

I somehow figured out that I could right click on the pane and get the option to "show all folders" or something like that. Everything came back. Tx for the reply. I just can't figure out why they had disappeared. I didn't delete them; I know better than that.
