How do I figure out what caused my computer to crash?

Update: My computer has crashed a few times since I started this post and I don't know why. I don't seem to have a Kernal dump file and event viewer isn't telling me anything. I came back to this post and saw this last post where Snick linked to the BSOD posting instructions. Here are the results of that if anybody can understand it. Does it give any clues as to why my computer occasionally crashes?


Btw, this file names several programs/services that I've never even heard of. I don't see how I could have all of these programs on my computer if I've never even heard of them.

The basic fist
- Schedule a check disk and reboot. Pay attention on the results, specially bad blocks and bad clusters.
Open a CMD window as admin and type sfc /scannow

I don't think the check disk shows anything wrong, but I'll paste the results below just in case. And the sfc/scannow did not find any integrity violations. Btw, If it helps any, I forgot to mention that I can tell when the computer is about to crash by the sound it makes. When it happens, it sounds like the hard disk is makes a spinning noise over and over.

I see that the BIOS is dated 2007, rather old, there are later versions available, dont use the Beta's
READ the instructions VERY carefully its an usuall one

Off tack but have you considered a newer comp, see there are some Business applications on it,
reason why im saying this - you appear to be using a System builder licence product key its transferable
