Getting frequent Win 7 error noises (w/lag)

I have run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and ADW Cleaner with no change. In Administrative Events, the red items are mostly Event ID 7031, 7034 and 7036 from source Service Control Manager.

Does it indicate which service is causing the problem?

If you run services.msc, are any errors shown?

No, it doesn't indicate a particular service, and there is no error indicated on the services.msc page

Have you installed any program/s or hardware prior to this happening?

What happens in safe mode?

To get into safe mode, reboot the computer and while it starts keep pressing the F8 key. Just chose the first safe mode option. It will just say safe mode.

Have any updates occurred prior to this happening?

How old are the hard drives? Run CrystalDiskInfo once and report what it says. CrystalDiskInfo – Crystal Dew World

Something else. Run Autoruns. Above under Options | Scan options chose Verify code signatures. At the top under File save the ARN file. Zip it and upload here. Autoruns for Windows - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs

The whole pc is old, but I think I have found the cause of the repeated Windows error sounds. It occurred to me that the sounds only come when I'm using the mouse, so I swapped out the old Logitech optical mouse for one I had in the closet. It has now been over an hour with no more error sounds or mouse lag. I'll give it another day or so before closing out this thread as solved.

And here I'm thinking you have a rouge driver or service. LOL Funny how it can and WILL be the simplest of things. I should learn to focus on such, but it would have never occurred to me a mouse would do it. Especially given the lack of Info. Though, I did ask if new hardware was installed. That can pose issues if A) the hardware is defective and B) the driver is messed up causing conflicts, etc.

Error-free computing all day. I would never have guessed a malfunctioning mouse could cause three computer lock-ups in as many days plus innumerable audible windows error alerts.

Frequent BSOD with various errors and odd noises.
