is thier a script, cmd or bat to open a file when it arrives in a fold

    Hello,

im trying to look for a script to open a file once it reaches the folder if possible,

im using watch 4 folder to monitor a specific folder, but it gives me the option to run a command, executable file, or a bat file open the arrival of the file?

so i was wondering if their was a script to open the file, save it as a bat file, once the file reaches the folder,

but the file name can be anything, and will be different every time

    many thanks in advance

    Stuart

You could use something like Task Scheduler.

This might get you started =>
How to monitor a folder and trigger a command-line action when a file is created or edited?.

    I hope this helps!

hey thank you for the speediest reply ever in the world !

I've just tried setting it up through task scheduler, but its asking for a script to run ..

to cut a long story short ..

    i have folder called 'torrents'

i have utorrent running in the background constantly, so the program itself doesn't need to opened,

but what I'm looking for is a task to run in the background, so that when the downloaded .torrent file, is added to the 'torrent' folder, the script/task will open this file, and therefore be added to utorrent which is already running in the background,

so its not a specific file, it would be any file that is added to the 'torrent' folder
