Yes, but we do what we can. I imagine that I allow less data harvesting than most. BTW, DuckDuckGo is the search engine I use. Google not only filters results, they collect data too. In a big way.
Thanks for the link, but that guide just shows you how to turn off the settings Win 10 provides, but MS allows no way to turn off data collection entirely, just limit it. And , although MS says that with those settings turned off, they no longer track your activity, I'm not sure they can be trusted to be truthful. After all, they're in business to make money. If they're giving the product away, how do you think they're making money?
Yes, there are apps available, but who knows if they are as effective as the app developers say? Until there is a definitive way to turn off or block all tracking and data collection, and a way to verify it, I'm staying away as long as possible. I will be setting up a win 10 test machine only.
