    Downloading DriverSuppport.exe comp froze


    Hi,dwnlding this app because I was having problems connecting to net. Windows Suggested I ck drivers. Started this and it froze. Mouse won’t work. Was already having trouble booting this 2009 Hp PC. New one coming soon. How do I fix this please. Not an expert!

    Welcome to the forum. can you uninstall the software as a first step?

    No,, mouse not working. Mayb uninstalled driver? Beginning to think going to have to do hard shutdown. Hope it boots up. Has been big problem.

    Try restarting the computer and booting into safe mode and then look in the Device Manager for any yellow crosses.

    Thanks Samuria and Paul, I did a hard shutdown and the old HP booted up. I’m not used to going into safe mode so I immediately deleted the offending software. So glad I found the forum. I’m sure I’ll need lots of help when I get my new comp.
