    Error 0xc0000142 when trying to run cmd, sfc, just about anything.


    So yeah, title. I tried creating a new user, safe mode, clean boot, system restore, registry cleaning and modifying, but nothing works so far.

    I'm on the verge of just setting this laptop on fire, lol.

    Do you have the Geforce Experience? If so, try uninstalling it.

    Boot from a Win 7 installation disk (any brand, 64 bit version), go to repair and launch a CMD window.
    Type dir c: to see if it is the windows partition. Then type chkdsk c: /f
    Pay attention on the results, specially bad clusters, bad sectors or bad blocks.
