EOSnotify.exe ... what is it?

I resumed my laptop a little while ago and I notice in taskmgr a process called 'EOSnotify.exe'. I checked the properties and in details it says it is a microsoft application but I don't know what a EOS notification is. I googled it and nothing showed up that would explain this application. Anyone know what this is?
