Desktop Icons size

Can you believe it, I even found an excellent youtube that took me thru the steps to convert my model truck's single exhaust system to a dual and I (an 'arm-chair' noob-mechanic) was able to save tons by doing it myself. HA!
    When I extract it I have copied it to Word resized but it goes back to original size when I replace it. Is there somewhere else where I should resize it

    The file isn't itself really resized in Word, because it's a 2nd copy. Resize them in Paint or Irfanview. I can't figure out Paint since they replaced the toolbars with ribbons.
