unable to start windows after today's update

    unable to start windows after today's update


    I updated my windows 7 today. It went very well and all updates are installed. After that when it went to restart all I can see a screen with small baloons and some cross lines. I can see my mouse pointer and the pointer moves. That's all. How do I get back into my windows. Nothing happens. Need HELP!

    Dear SIW2,
    I put the bootable usb in the port and started the computer, nothing happens. Same screen, mouse pointer moves, windows logo + R key wont work, ctrl+alt+del key wont work, what do i do?

    You will have to tell bios to boot from usb.

    There will be a key press during post to get a boot menu display. You haven't told us your laptop make and model, so we don't know what key that will be.
