Thumbnails for video files - All used to show, now only some?

hi everyone, is there a way to 'force' Windows to show thumbnails for video files?

I know not all video files can have a thumbnail, but I noticed that files that USED to show one are now not - the only reason I can think of is that my hard drives are filling up, does that make sense?

Like its less of a priority or something.

I've tried the standard 'enable thumbnail preview' - that's already turned on as usual.

    Any help very appreciated, thanks!

hi, yes that solved most of it thankyou, the other part was downloading 'K-Lite Codec Pack' and telling it to do the thumbnails for EVERYTHING, now the remaining files (with less common formats like flv or mkv) display as well. Cheers!
