Can't reach some websites this morning.

Is it my computer, my ISP, or a problem with the internet. No problem reaching my email at mail.com and aol.com or Google and Facebook.

Can't log in to my bank Capital One Credit Cards, Bank, and Loans - Personal and Business and get the message Service Unavailable - DNS failure
The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later.

or www.bobistheoilguy.com and Insight Central: Honda Insight Forum for example. Message says This site can’t be reached www.insightcentral.net’s server IP address could not be found.

When I do a speed test at https://www.speedtest.net/ I get a message saying, LATENCY TEST ERROR
Could not connect to the test server. A firewall could be blocking the connection or the server might be having some issues. Please try again later. Alternatively, check out our free Speedtest for Desktop apps for more reliable testing.

I have no firewall and since some websites are fine that wouldn't be an issue. Any idea what is going on?

Have you tried re-setting your router and re-booting your computer?

No but if I can reach some websites, like this one for example, I can't imagine the issue would be with my computer.

    Yes, it could.

The first rule of computers is if something doesn't work - reboot.

[1] Have you checked with your ISP to see if they are having problems?
[2] Have you installed any new updates prior to this happening?
[3] Have you got a system restore point that you can use to see if that corrects the problem?

It probably has to do with the ISP since I'm getting the same problem. And yes, I tried rebooting.

I reset the router (disconnected and reconnected the power supply) and could now reach A Review of Mineral and Synthetic Base Oils - Bob is the Oil Guy but not Insight Central: Honda Insight Forum I'm on Verizon FIOS, how do I check with them if there are any problems?

Good find. Why isn't this news posted on every major website? Google, Facebook, Aol, etc. It would save millions of people aggravation.
