Sorry, Bill, I have tried to explain the situation to you, and your comments about me not listening to you do not help at all.

Cheers!

Tell me again, what you want us to do, please!
You keep reposting my posts & complaining, that doesn't help either of us.

You don't have to do anything. I told you several times what I am going to do.

Thanks again.

On June 26, I had to contact them again to buy the key for the program. It was $40.00.

Immediately, I began to have problems - and still do. Pages jump, web sites open by themselves, and my cursor seems to have a life of its own. It will actually go by itself to the Start Menu, open it, and open a program. I am really unable to use Facebook, because it jumps around so much. Same with my Outlook program for email. My Start Menu appears by itself every couple of minutes.

I was unable to write this directly on the page because my cursor kept jumping around, and I kept losing my place. I am writing this on Notepad.

I had Microsoft technicians looking at the problems several times over the past three months, and I tend to think they have only made the problems worse.

Most recently, though, was a couple of days ago, and the technician wants me to do a "Clean Installation". I have downloaded a copy of Windows 7 from a link that the technician gave me. I understand what this is all about, and would rather not do it by myself as it seems to be complicated, and I am not too computer savvy.

Any other ideas and advice will be greatly appreciated! It has taken me an hour to write this. Even on Notepad, the cursor and my place keep jumping.

Thanks very much!
Very strange.
Did you have to buy a key for US$40? Who charged you, M$ or Trend Micro?
Did you gave them a Credit card number and the security number?
I've seen on the TenForum that OP was been charged for a annual license. It was a trap.
Have a look at your credit card bill if any other expenses are being charged.

The best way to get your computer fixed is by doing a Dell Factory recover or a Clean install with a M$ installation disk.
The easiest way is to do a Dell Factory Recover (if you have the recover partition or the recover DVDs)

Can you post a Disk Manager image so we can see what you have?

Microsoft charged my credit card for $40.00. I would love to be scammed by them. I would sue them until they were Micromush.

Sorry, again. I am a computer illiterate. Disk manager? Duh.

You did not understand. It can be that who charged you wasn't M$ but someone saying to be M$.

Here is how to post a Disk Management image.

I don't understand. The charge is on my credit card: Microsoft, Redmond, Washington. It also appear in my Microsoft account. How could it possibly be a scam? Plus I got the key after I paid the $40.00.

Ok, seems that it was M$ who charged you with a key that you don't need (in fact I think they charged for the service, not for any key).

Back to a proper installation: Once again, can you post the Disk management image of your disk?
