Probably nothing, but thought I'd ask just in case.

Hi. I've had Win7 Ult. 64 bit for 5 years now without issues, but something odd happened yesterday afternoon. If it should matter, I use a 27" HD TV as a monitor. When I booted up the pc as usual, all the device drivers re-installed, as if I'd just plugged them in for the first time, and instead of the sound coming through the external pc speaker set I use, the sound came from the HDTV instead. I did a simple restart, and then the sound was back to the speakers as normal. So, all the drivers installed, and everything was working normally, but what could've caused that? It never happened before, so I thought I'd at least mention it here just in case any pc savvy folks in here might know that this is a symptom of something getting ready to crap out, etc. BTW, this morning it booted up normally.

Regards,
Dave

Please perform this [it will rule out device errors] . . .

Under the heading msinfo32 [MS System Information] - Problem Devices . . ., please run MS_Info32_Find_Problem_Devices.bat, Option [2] from here => BATCH PROGRAMS [Standalone] and then upload the results using the tutorial at the bottom of the above link [Upload to SevenForums . . .] and someone will look at it for you.

NOTE: The reason I link to the thread above rather than posting the .bat file here is because it makes it easier if I have to amend the batch script. This way, I only have to amend it and upload it to one location.

I hope this helps!

Thought's on IE 8
I was just wondering what is your guys thought's on IE 8 compared to google chrome or Firefox? I used Firefox but after they came out with IE 8 it seemed to be just as fast (for the version of firefox I had) so I switch back. I did like Chrome but it seemed a little to Simplistic for me.
