Check your shadowcopies and copy back the folder.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I restored from a savepoint a little over a month old. Once I was done with that I right-clicked on appdata and choose restore an earlier copy. What's the difference between that and using shadowcopy?

Afterwards the new appdata was much smaller.

Shadow Copy is a technology included in Microsoft Windows that can create backup copies or snapshots of computer files or volumes, even when they are in use. It is implemented as a Windows service called the Volume Shadow Copy service.
