    editing the registry

i have a program on my pc, (3dsimed v3.1v) it runs from its extracted folder (no installation req'd) the activation code provided by the owner (once purchased) is generated by the hardware config of my pc....a while ago now i changed from a 500GB SS drive to a 1TB SS drive, at the time the affected program performed as req'd but lately ive been try other things in it and they haven't worked.

    my question to you is.......

can i delete the entries in the registry for this program, then re-run the program to generate new hardware config so i can request an updated activation code?

thanks, sorry if this is in the wrong thread

You best asking the author as he will know the correct way of doing it
