Sysnative Forums, is this a legit site or scam?

Hi
I still run Win7 and had a issue on a couple of my Pc with the SFC/Scannow failure. I tried the above site and they resolved the issue in very short time and they only ask for donation (ask not demand) so I made a small donation .

Now my other PC I have had a serious issue with the Win7 64 Home premium failing the sfc scan, its been well over a year. I first discovered this issue with my Acronis backup would fail due the the SFc can fail.

I was in touch with the engineers/techs at Acronis for over a year , that had me run every kind of test (memory, hd sector etc) and all passed but the sfc error was still there.

Acronis would occasionally validate a backup but it was very rare and if I ran again it would fail. Acronis fix was to refund my money.

I eventually just replaced the PC Im talking about but kept it and with the spare time we have these days I figure I would play with it to see if I canget it working. It seems to work fine but will not pass the SFC and since that Acronis will not work.

Would really like to hear some feedback on Sysnative Forums? Since its a free site I sort of trust it?

BTW in the past I did post my CBS logs here and really never got a fix bu that again was probably a year ago or so.

TIA

If SFC found corrupted files and could not fix them you have to ask yourself what corrupted them. Can be many things, from a power shutdown to a disk failure.
First thing to do is to run a check disk. Open a cmd window as administrator and type:
chkdsk c: /f
It will say your drive is in use and if you want to schedule to next start = Yes
Restart
If check disk finds bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors etc, it's time to replace the drive.

The best way to fix all this issues is to replace Windows with a so called Repair Install.
To do a Repair Install you run setup of the installation disk from running Windows
It will reinstall Windows keeping your data and programs.
For the updates, my suggestion is to set Services - Windows Update - Manual and on WU page set it to Never check.
Then run UpdatePack7R2
Simplix is a single file (850MB) that contain all updates since Win 7 released up to date. It has all security and non security updates without the trash (telemetry and tracking). Very good.
Then run WU manually to find updates for Office etc and decide witch one to install.

To uninstall the telemetry, run cmd file to uninstall those KB files.
kb_spy.cmd.txt
Rename it as KB_Spy.cmd and run it.

A number of years ago, I had a strange and intractable problem with my Win7 install, and I really didn't feel like making a clean install, so I availed myself of their services - not sure how I even heard of them. They completely cleared up the issue I was having after a few short exchanges which I seem to recall involved them sending me a batch file or two. You sort of get assigned a 'case worker'. They stayed with me until it was fixed. The whole interaction seemed good and above-board to me, and indeed, I sent them a few $$$ in grateful compensation. There seems to be some deep understanding of Windows internals over there...

Its a legitimate web site. There speciality is solving BSOD issues. Many of their members are also members here and on TenForums.

All mentioned had been done extensively and repeated and with the help direction of Acronis 2nd tier engineers dept.

Its just weird but am getting help from elseware now and will see what comes up. After a year with Acronis tech there fix was to refund my money and told me till they came out with the next update, I did and the same issue
