    How to stop pop up asking to add as Home Page in IE 8 ?


    How can I stop the pop up window asking to add page as Home Page in IE 8?

    Why not select a homepage. If you dont know how its easy. Go to the page of your choice. Then tools upper left, the internet options. Then just type in the page shown in the address ba,r you can even chose a blank page, if speed is important to you.

    If this is only happening on a certain site I would suspect that the site is an unsafe site that IE8 is intercepting when it attempts to hijack your homepage.

    Hi Guys I have selected MSN as a home page.

    When Ever I go to one of my Gmail accounts it asks if I want to make Gmail my Home Page or add as a second Home page.

    Make sure pop up blocker is checked in tools> internet options> privacy

    I don't know if you have done this, but be sure you have assigned a page as your Home Page. First go to a page you want as your home page. Click on Tools, then Internet Options. Click on the General Tab and click on Use Current. This will establish your Home Page.

    Hi Thanks,

    I have designated a home page and it still asks me to re designate or add a second home page.
