I'm trying to install Macromedia Flash 8, but it keeps telling me I don't have the right privileges, even though I'm an administrator, help!

Try enabling the default administrator account and logging into it and try it again.
Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable
I am the default administrator, though.
I should have phrased that as the "built-in administrator", is that how you have logged in?
Yes
Well, you will need to wait for someone sharper than myself to respond. The only other thing that I can think of is to log in as administrator in Safe Mode and see what happens.
Right click the setup file and choose "Run as Administrator"
Hi and welcome
Can you right click teh installer<|>properties>details>who is the file owner?
If it is a download it can be configured to have trusted installer run it, and TI had even more rights than admin.
failing that where is the installer file located, desk top?, other drive? was it in another OS?
thanks
