Does anyone know what C:\e883078b070ab408cb file is on disk C

I have a file in blue letters with a pad lock picture on it on my local disk C
which i can not ID with google.
I ask because I am trying to find how something slowed my 7 up a lot starting about 2 weeks ago, but kasperski does not flag it. but my 7 has gotten much slower.
also I note you tubes take longer to start as well.
everything is slower and have cleaned, defragged Etc., which makes it faster for a short time.
could it just be my cable service throttling, even tho I see no change in network access??????
My computer has lost its zip pity do dah

    Thanks Jim

C:\e883078b070ab408cb is a file or folder?

I have seen many folders with characters like yours and they are just temporary folders used by some installation programs to expand files before installation.

Open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features. Sort by date installed. What is the last program installed?

It's been my experience that as @Megahertz07 has said the folders are created by Windows update or other programs using the MS installer. I just delete them. As to the system slowdown I don't think that folder has anything to do with it. Just guessing, the lock may indicate the program didn't finish installing correctly since I have never had one with a lock icon I'm not sure.
