Is there any way to autostart a program but...

    Hello,
This is my first post on the forums and I was wondering if there is any way to have an application run on startup but do so in the background, where it just shows on the lower right task bar? Thanks in advance.

Just make a shortcut in the program's directory of the .exe. Right click it and in properties shortcut tab's run window select minimized, and cut past it to the Startup folder in the Start Menu.

EDIT: I guess it would depend on which program is in question, but I have used this procedure on more than one program.

Thanks everyone, setting to minimized as suggested works some what, it just pops up for a second instead of staying there in a full window, which is much better. The programs are speedfan and mail.
