Would it be easy to fix that in the registry, or would it cause a lot of problems?

I think im going to give it a try. I have everything backed up with macrium. What should i look for in the registry?
You could start by uninstalling and reinstalling CCleaner to see if it may have just been remnants of the old deleted account if CCleaner was originally installed in that account.
It seems to persist after reinstalling ccleaner.
Just to confirm, did you delete the old account?
User Account - Delete
If not, then before you do, make sure your new account is an administrator.
User Account Type - Change
Yes. I only see two user accounts, my primary user account and a guest account, which is disabled and not being used.
I made sure that my account has administrator privilieges.
Go ahead and post a screenshot of CCleaner showing where the old user name is still at to see if anything may stand out. Be sure to blank out part of the name if an email address.
It displays it at the bottom of ccleaner, right where it shows your operative system and your computer specifications.
I found this screengrab as an example.
It says admin, which was my old user profile name. Or perhaps ccleaner shows that to everyone?
Does it say admin at the bottom of your ccleaner?
